Club Kite Gallery

The club has over the years built up a fine collection of large display kites. Some we have made, others we have purchased from the best kite makers around the world. As we acquire a kite we tend give it a name to help recognition.

As a club member you get to help fly these wonderful kites, some are so large we need a team to fly them.

  Playsail

This is a large sheet with rope at the corners, don't be fooled it flys and will tire a strong person in a short time.

Made by AKF members who made and designed an applique panel based on an animal theme.

  Fighting Rokkakus

These are the clubs fighting kites. They are 2mtrs high and used in kite battles at many kite festivals around the country.
